Elevated Backyard Deck
An elevated wood deck with railing and stairs off the back of a two-story home, built for a client who later hired Luke for a full basement remodel.
The problem
A back door that opened onto a drop, and a yard with no place to sit.
What Luke did
Luke built the framing on concrete piers, ran the decking with hidden fasteners where possible, and built the railing and stair run to code with a clean, simple baluster pattern that does not fight the house.

The client’s review covers this deck and the basement that followed: “his work has been impeccable every time.”
