Custom Carpentry and Cabinetry in Englewood, CO

LTA Construct builds and installs custom cabinetry, built-ins, floating shelves, staircases and finish trim for homes across Englewood and the south Denver metro. Most built-in and cabinetry projects take one to three weeks on site once materials are in hand.

This is the work LTA Construct is known for. Luke Adkins is a finish carpenter first and a general contractor second, which means the cabinet boxes, the crown molding, the staircase treads and the shelf brackets you can’t see are all built by the same hands that measured your walls.

Reviewers mention the same things again and again: crown molding installed so the nail holes disappear, floating shelves with no visible hardware, banquette benches that look like they came with the house. That is the standard on every job, whether it is one shelf or a wall of built-ins.

What’s included

  • Custom cabinetry and cabinet installation
  • Built-in entertainment walls, bookcases and mudroom cubbies
  • Floating shelves in walnut, white oak and painted maple
  • Staircases, treads, risers and railings
  • Crown molding, casing, baseboard and window trim
  • Banquette benches and window seats
  • Pantry and closet shelving systems
  • Mantels, wine racks, slat walls and paneling

How long it takes

Floating shelves or a mantel: 1 to 3 days. Pantry or closet system: 2 to 5 days. Built-in wall or banquette: 1 to 2 weeks. Full staircase: 2 to 4 weeks including finish.

Timelines are typical for the south Denver metro and depend on material lead times. No prices are listed on this site because every project is different; the cost and timeline guide explains what moves the number.

What clients say about this work

Luke pays a lot of attention to detail and does high-quality carpentry work. He installed our kitchen cabinets and crown molding. He did a wonderful job on the crown molding and installed it in a way we can't see the nail holes. I loved that. He also built us custom floating shelves, paneling over a support beam, and a custom built-in banquette bench. All of them turned out beautiful. He did a wonderful job with the mitered edges. He also worked with us to revise the design of the bench to get the price of it down to a range we could afford when our initial design was out of our budget. He communicated well and showed up when he said he would show up. Overall, I would highly recommend Luke.

Questions people ask

Do you build the cabinets yourself or install pre-made boxes?

Both, depending on the job. Built-ins, shelving, benches and anything that has to fit a specific wall are built on site or in the shop. For full kitchens, factory boxes with custom fronts are often the better value, and Luke installs and trims them so they read as one piece.

What woods do you work with most?

White oak, walnut, maple and cedar for exterior work. See the materials library for how each one behaves in Colorado’s dry air and where it makes sense.

Can you match existing trim or cabinets?

Yes. Matching a 1960s profile or an existing stain is routine. Bring a sample or send a photo and Luke will tell you what is possible before anyone commits.

Do you do small jobs?

Yes. Several reviews are for a single shelf, a mantel or a punch list. Small jobs are how most clients start.
