Tongue-and-Groove Cedar Porch Ceiling
A covered patio ceiling finished in tongue-and-groove cedar with recessed lighting, tied into new exterior siding and trim.
The problem
A covered patio with a bare, stained plywood soffit and mismatched siding where a previous addition met the house.
What Luke did
Luke ran tongue-and-groove cedar across the entire soffit, mitered the corners where the roof changes direction, and set recessed lights on a clean grid. The siding and trim on the adjoining walls were replaced so the addition finally matches the house.
The result
The patio is now an outdoor room with a ceiling worth looking up at.
